Organic Cloth Wipes

These cloth baby wipes are super soft and super absorbent. These two-sided wipes have a softer velour side and a scrubbier terry side. It's the best of both worlds! We've tried many different varieties and sizes of wipes in our home over the years, and these are the favorite. They are truly luxurious!

These versatile wipes are just little wash cloths that you can really use for any purpose: use them to wash your kids in the bath, remove makeup, or anything you would like! 

If you have a baby in cloth diapers, you'll want some great cloth wipes to go with the diapers. Throw them in the diaper pail with the diapers and wash them all together. You'll find they work much better than disposable wipes. But these wipes aren't just for baby, we discovered in our home that the whole family prefers wipes to toilet paper. (Hint, wash with a bidet and you won't have to worry about super poopie wipes in the laundry.) 

Made from two layers of fabric: a layer of super-soft absorbent organic velour (90% organic cotton and 10% polyester for stability in backing) and a scrubbier layer of bamboo/organic cotton baby terry (70% bamboo, 28% organic cotton, 2% poly). You choose the size and edge color. Our original favorite size is 7x7 inches. Wipes that are 8x8 and larger have the layers quilted together.

To wash, we run them through a cold rinse cycle, then wash in hot water with detergent without perfumes or softeners. Feel free to add a small splash of bleach in the water to help whiten and disinfect. Dry in the dryer as usual or hang to dry. We collect all our dirty wipes in the diaper pail in the bathroom, but you could use any designated pail with a lid (a smaller flip-lid garbage can works great) for collecting dirty wipes. Use a liner or give the pail a quick wash each time you empty it.

Note: as with all natural fibers, absorbency will increase after being washed a few times. This fabric has been prewashed and preshrunk before cutting and sewing, but it will need a few more washes to reach full absorbency.

All items are sewn and packaged by me in my smoke-free and pet-free home.
